While aiding in the humanitarian relief effort that followed the Ancash earthquake of 1970, the deadliest earthquake in Peruvian history, Texan relief workers compiled this documentary footage. A bit of Peru's diversity is captured in scenes of travelers canoeing through dense jungle scenery, a villager cooking in the forest, urban dwellers conversing outside of a church, and young people relaxing on a beach. Also included are brief interviews with Austin's mayor at the time and a University of Texas student who joined the relief effort.
