This home movie captures the installation of John Morkovsky as Bishop of Amarillo. The ceremony, officiated by Archbishop Robert E. Lucy, took place on October 22, 1958, at Sacred Heart Cathedral and was followed by a civic reception at the Municipal Auditorium. Bishop Morkovsky served in Amarillo until his move to the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston in 1963. Sacred Heart Cathedral closed in January, 1975.
