This home movie from the Frick Collection documents the 1981 Great Mosquito Festival held annually in Clute. Captured are folk dancers, the destruction of a car, face painting, and participants generally enjoying the festival. The Frick Collection was donated to TAMI by John Frick and includes home movies of family Christmases, camping trips, and outings in Houston, as well as trips to local Texas events, including the Belton Parade, Howdy Roo Chili Cookoff, Mosquito Festival, Texas Renaissance Fair, Montgomery County Cookoff, Texas Girl Chili Cookoff, and the Westheimer Art Festival.
