Produced for Heidi Wittenborn's 10th grade English class at Austin High School, Star Wreck was a spoof on the popular sci-fi program, Star Trek. Heidi played the alien. The rest of the cast included Cindy Ellison as Captain Kirk, Diane Jones as Spock, Mike Jimenez as Sulu, Warren Wittenborn as Chekov, and Patty Rios as Dr. McCoy. The Wittenborn Family hails from Austin, Texas, and the films of father August Wittenborn include scenes from numerous family vacations, holiday and birthday celebrations, and important moments in the lives of children Heidi and Warren.
