The Anderson Mill Garden Club collection documents activities of the club in the 1950s and 1960s. This film captures the Hill Country landscape through various seasons of the year, garden club members as they prepare for their first and second flower show, Lake Travis and the homes built along its banks, members decorating and preparing for the Christmas season, and bulding a working model of Anderson Mill. Of note are scenes of the newly completed Mansfield Dam and the creation of Lake Travis, including shots of partially flooded houses and possibly the old mill. Along with documenting the actual events, the film also captures some local sentiment, focusing on a newspaper advertisement that demands, "Notice: Return Anderson Mill at Once" as well as a handwritten note that reads: "who got de mill? where de mill? the lighting roared and the thunder flashed/ and then - / Monday April 8, 1958."
