    Born in San Saba County in 1917, Reuben Senterfitt served as the 61st Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives from 1951-1955. During this time, Senterfitt introduced a new unified budget system to consolidate appropriations into a single bill. In response to questions from an off-screen interviewer, Senterfitt reflects on the personalities and leadership styles of other House Speakers that he served under, including Price Daniel, Sr. and William "Otey" Reed as well as Texas Governers that he served under, including W. Lee "Pappy" O'Daniel, Coke Stevenson, and Allan Shivers.
