Footage from this home movie brings a behind-the-scenes look at the early 1970s Texas House of Representatives from the (sometimes sideways)vantage point of the legislators.

Born in 1937 in Jacksonville, Rayford Price served as the 68th Speaker of the Texas House of Representative from 1972-1973. During his tenure, Price emphasized the reform of House rules in order to reduce entrenched power and seniority.
