The Texas Film Round-Up is coming to Laredo!
¡The Texas Film Round está llegando a Laredo!
 

Presented by the Texas Archive of the Moving Image in partnership with the Webb County Heritage Foundation, the Laredo Film Society, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, and the Texas Film Commission, Laredo, Nuevo Laredo, and South Texas residents, organizations, and businesses are invited to bring their old films and videotapes for FREE digitization. 

Your films and videotapes are valuable records of Texas history and culture, and with your help, Texas’ media heritage will be available for future generations to appreciate. Mark your calendar and start gathering your items now!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
  • drop off up to 50 films and 10 videotapes,
  • ensure materials are Texas-related (filmed in Texas, by a Texan, or about Texas), and
  • contribute a digital copy to the Archive.

The materials will be digitized in Austin and returned to the owners along with a digital copy.

COMMUNITY SCREENING:

Join us for a FREE community screening on Thursday, July 25 at 7:30PM. Showcasing Laredo's cultural heritage, the screening will include:

  • a look at South Texas through the decades from the Texas Archive of the Moving Image's collection,
  • highlights from the Webb County Heritage Foundation's archive, and
  • a program of local films presented by the Laredo Film Society.

PARTICIPA:
  • Trae hasta un limite de 50 peliculas y 10 videos que esten relacionados con Texas (filmados en Texas, por un Tejano, o que sean acerca de Texas).
  • Una copia digital de tu contibución sera agregada al Texas Archive of Moving Image.

Los materiales se digitalizarán en Austin, Texas y se devolverán a los propietarios junto con una copia digital.
