“Sam Sledge: A Christmas Story” is a 1990s amateur film written and directed by Tom Wright. Adopting a film noir style, the film follows Sledge, an eggnog-loving private detective, on his search for Santa Claus. Sledge was hired to find the big man in red in order to convince a young nonbeliever named Virginia. Joining Beaumont’s KFDM-TV in 1985, Wright has worked for the station for more than 30 years. He currently serves as a news managing editor.
