This home movie captures two separate parties, both occurring during or around October 1979. The first clip documents Julie’s Wonder Woman-themed birthday party. The iconic DC Comics superhero became a hugely important pop culture figure in the 1970s, especially amongst young women. Julie and her friends feast on chocolate cake, open presents, play with toys, and of course, sport Wonder Woman head pieces. The second half of this film switches to a Halloween party, comprised primarily of adults in capes, masks, and spooky or silly costumes.
