In this unedited interview for Austin’s KVUE-TV, Roy Faires sits down with actress Geena Davis to talk about her latest film, The Accidental Tourist (1988). The film received four Academy Award nominations, including one for Best Picture. Davis ultimately took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. In the interview, Davis discusses how she crafted her character and her lifelong goal of becoming an actress. Faires worked as a special project director and entertainment critic/reporter at KVUE-TV, Austin’s ABC affiliate, from 1976-1989.
