This 1977 home movie, shot by longtime surfer Dan Parker, captures surfers around Fish Pass, off the coast of Corpus Christi. Dredged in 1972, Fish Pass was a channel through Mustang Island, intended to help fish migrate between the Gulf of Mexico and the Corpus Christi Bay. Unfortunately, the jetties at the mouth of the pass were were too short, resulting in the collection and buildup of silt. By the early 1980s, the Fish Pass channel was completely filled in.
