In the summer of 1978, Corpus Christi native Bea McKinney traveled to San Francisco to attend courses at the Crossroads Institute for Career Development. In this segment from her trip, McKinney leaves the city to visit a nearby hippie commune, Laos House. McKinney taught filmmaking classes at King High School in Corpus Christi. She also hosted the Texas Student Film Festivals.
