This theatrical trailer is for the 1960 feature film The Alamo, directed by John Wayne and starring Wayne, Richard Widmark, and Laurence Harvey. The film is a historical epic depicting the 1836 Battle of the Alamo. It was filmed at Alamo Village in Brackettville, Texas on the ranch of James T. “Happy” Shahan. Wayne and Shahan built a three quarter-scale replica of the Alamo mission and compound for the film that took two years to construct and has since been in used in over 100 other Westerns.
