This video captures a highlight of the 1997 Austin Town Festival in Angleton -- two re-enactors portraying women from the 1823 settlement in Brazoria County singing a strong rendition of the spiritual, “Old Time Religion.” Austin Town festival is a living history re-enactment that recalls and celebrates the lives of the pioneers who settled Colonial Texas from 1821 to 1832.
