In these three edited segments from 24 Action News broadcasts for Austin’s KVUE-TV, Roy Faires spotlights the film Moon Over Parador (1988). The first segment features an interview with director Paul Mazursky. Mazursky discusses his real-world inspiration for the film: then-President Ronald Reagan. Faires reviews Moon Over Parador in the next segment, giving it mediocre marks. The last segment includes movie reviews of Eight Men Out (1988) and Heartbreak Hotel (1988), which was partly filmed in Austin. Faires worked as a special project director and entertainment critic/reporter at KVUE-TV, Austin’s ABC affiliate, from 1976-1989.
