This silent footage captures scenes a media event for Miss Wool of America of 1959, Carrell Currie. From Irving, Currie was also crowned Miss Wool of Texas. For the appearance, Currie interacts and poses with sheep as department store shoppers look on. The Miss Wool of America Pageant took place annually from 1952-1972 in San Angelo, sponsored by the National Wool Growers Association, the American Sheep Producers Council, and the Wool Bureau, Inc. Miss Wool represented the wool industry nationally, touring the country in the latest woolen fashions.
