This news footage captures scenes of an interview with a founder of the Permian Basin Fair and Rodeo speaking about the entry fees and travel expenses associated with rodeos that made necessary the creation of shows in the Permian Basin region. In its second year, the Permian Basin Fair and Rodeo had 14 shows in 1980 and strove to keep fees low.
