It makes me laugh, when people make their judgment, without keeping in mind the facts, which proved correct over the course of time. Liaqat Ali was the first one , who chose 1n 1951 to visit USA and not the Russia. Furthermore, though dictator Ayub khan was a true patriot and man of vision, During his era not only Army was strengthen , industrial revolution was launched and above all laid down the foundation of new city Islamabad. I can go. By creating one unit he had created balance in both wings, and you know the results after deviating from it. You are admiring ZAB, who was the real culprit and hypocrite, destroyed the relations with USA whereas after 50 years peoples are still dying for roti Kapra aur Makan.

The man who destroyed the fabric of the democracy by declaring west wing as one unit and east wing as one unit, laid foundation for the family politics and military take over.

Sorry my friends I have a different opinion. I see this visit as celebrations of a great victory of America over this region. India had clearly opted Russia and if Pakistan had gone on the same track (which was the right one and avoided all the wars we fought and both countries would have progressed) America would have lost its influence in the region. Our true leaders like Liaqat Ali Khan would also have gone with Russia in the backdrop Israel coming into being by illegally occupying Palestine. It is this moment when we lost our freedom and became slaves to another Western Power. And till today we are paying high price for it. Only Z.A. Bhutto went against it and he also paid its price by his life. I wish we had not taken anything from America. They give less and take more... much more. Shoaib

Ayub Khan, he tried his level best to bring Pakistan in the right place of the world. I remember, it was my school era when I witnessed great positive changes in Pakistan.

Pakistan is, of course, still held in high regard by Americans in the know who have lived and worked there over the years. Many of us were so impressed by the creativity and dedication of the Pakistani people that we have maintained regular and beneficial contact with our steadfast colleagues and friends there. And this, of course, despite the silliness in which EACH of our governments now and then has engaged!

3 great personalities together : JFK at his last breath to first Lady Jackqueline 'Darling, I forget to <bow my head>' Aiyub Khan a rarely born person in Sub-continental Army : In his tenure Pakistan became a roll-model to Malaysia , Korea & Singapore ,,, Dr.Mohatir Mohammad is his true-ancestor but we failed to receive his philosophy successfully.
