This color film features scenes of a family vacation in the 1940s. A train ride takes the young family to a Southern California city, where they visit (along with another family) local parks and residential neighborhoods, enjoying various leisurely pursuits together.

The films of the Ray Jelinek Collection were rescued from a flooded trailer on Galveston after Hurricane Ike. They were donated by Jan Valentine and are permanently housed in the archives at the Alfred R. Neumann Library, University of Houston - Clear Lake.
