Welcome to the New and Improved
Texas Archive of the Moving Image

Dear visitors,

We are excited to announce launch our new and improved website texasarchive.org!  Working closely with Glifos social media, we have redesigned and updated our website to meet the needs of our visitors.  These features will make it easier to view the archive on your mobile device, share content with friends, and navigate our ever-expanding collection.  New features include:

  • iPad and iPhone compatible video files
  • Mobile website display
  • Full-screen viewing
• Additional social media and sharing options
  • Embeddable players
  • Curated comments
  • Suggested videos

We are also excited to unveil our revamped News section which will feature regular content related to TAMI, our collections, and our contributors including:

  • Spotlight – Feature stories focused on collections and contributors
  • Now Showing – Event listings
  • New Releases – Monthly summary of TAMI’s newest films
  • Dispatch – Coverage of TAMI and our films in the press
  • Behind the scenes – Features on TAMI’s activities
  • Extras – Additional materials relating to the collections
  • Fan Favorites – Favorite films

We hope this additional content will enrich your experiences viewing and interacting with our collections.  Keep an eye out for our first feature on the Thomas Freeman Collection coming this October!

The new website was made possible through the support of Austin’s Still Water Foundation.  We are thankful for their assistance in helping us to better serve our visitors. Also, thanks to Austin’s Creative Suitcase for their sleek redesign of the TAMI logo.

We hope you enjoy the new website and logo!   Please let us know by commenting below!
