Dispatch: August 2013

August marked the Texas Archive of the Moving Image’s fourth year as guests of El Paso’s Plaza Classic Film Festival. As in years past, TAMI hosted a Texas Film Round-Up free digitization drop-off in the historic Plaza Theatre’s lobby. This year, El Paso contributed 398 films and videos, bringing the program’s four year total to 2,364 films!  TAMI also curated and screened a program of highlights from past El Paso Round-Ups on Friday, August 9th in the Philanthropy Theatre and hosted digitization demonstrations in the Plaza Theatre lobby throughout the weekend.
