In this video from the Leon Blevins Collection, Leon interviews his mother, Virgie Dobkins of Levelland, TX. She tells stories from her life, beginning with the hardships of a Texas Panhandle farm during the early decades of the twentieth century and Great Depression, and continuing with life, love and squaredancing in the decades following World War II, and wrapping up with social life and volunteer jobs in her retirement.
