This 1958 home movie captures the Johnson family of Odessa traveling to neighboring New Mexico. They begin their trip with a picnic at White Sands National Monument near Alamogordo. Next, the family explores the state capital of Santa Fe. They also make stops in Taos and Glorieta, taking a horseback ride through the mountains. The Johnsons end their vacation where it began, White Sands, where Donna buries her two brothers in the gypsum sand dunes.
