This home movie captures moments in the lives of the Pickard family between July 1976 and May 1977. The film begins during special Bicentennial Independence Day parade in Longivew, featuring children on colorful bikes, Shriners, and classic cars. Next, the Pickards embark on a road trip through Florida, making stops at numerous theme parks across the state. Back home in Longview, the family later celebrates Christmas and takes advantage of a heavy snow. The following summer, the Pickards take a trip to Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, where they see a performance by popular vocal group, the 5th Dimension.
