This home movie captures moments from the lives of the Pickard family between March and October 1969. The film begins in springtime, with son Alan collecting Easter eggs at the family home in Longview as well as with relatives in Fort Worth. The Pickards then visit the Fort Worth Zoo. In September, Alan celebrates his second birthday with a double party. Later, the family spends the afternoon at Caddo Lake. In October, the Pickards attend the County Judges and Commissioners Association convention in Dallas, where guests enjoy a luau, complete with suckling pig and hula dancers. Finally, Alan dresses up as a lion for Halloween.
