This 1934 home movie shows the Tulsa wedding party and honeymoon of an unknown couple. The wedding guests celebrate the nuptials by kissing the bride and groom and throwing rice at the reception. On their honeymoon, the couple explores a river with boats, and walks around a tree-lined street. They then travel to Natchez in Adams County, Mississippi, and visit the Elgin Plantation. They visit New Orleans, stopping at the St. Louis Cathedral in the French Quarter as well as a historic cemetery. Shots of steamboats and the levee around can be seen from their visit to the Mississippi River. The couple next travel to Galveston and visit the Hotel Galvez along the beach. They go to Monterrey, Mexico, and take footage of historic buildings, a cemetery, and the landscape around Mexico, including the mountains. They visit with Canadian ice hockey player Charles “Dinny” Dinsmore and his wife, and go to a ranch where they pet deer, feed a bear cub, and shoot footage of a bear tied to a tree. The couple visits a waterfall near a sign that says “Vista Hermosa”. These films are part of the collection courtesy of native Galvestonian and current Austin resident Richard Eisenhour, who discovered and bought them on Ebay.
