In this promo for the Miss Wool of America Pageant of 1968, host, radio and television personality Art Linkletter joins two contestants to introduce the pageant, highlighting the appearances of movie star June Allyson and pop singer Frankie Avalon. The Miss Wool of America Pageant took place annually from 1952-1972 in San Angelo, sponsored by the National Wool Growers Association, the American Sheep Producers Council, and the Wool Bureau, Inc. Miss Wool represented the wool industry nationally, touring the country in the latest woolen fashions.
