In this television commercial for Church’s Chicken, a jingle advises to “make the most of your day” by picking up a fried chicken platter from the restaurant. George W. Church, Sr. opened the first Church’s Chicken (then called Church’s Fried Chicken-To-Go) in downtown San Antonio across the street from the Alamo in 1952. Now with locations across the country and abroad, the company is the fourth-largest chicken restaurant chain. This advertisement is part of the Patrick S. Coakley, Jr. Collection
