Digitization

Whether a personal home movie or moving images from your institution’s archive, TAMI can help you convert your film and video to digital files or DVDs. We offer two transfer service options:

• The Texas Film Round-Up free digitization program is open to individuals and institutions that qualify and are willing to contribute a digital copy of their materials to the TAMI video library. Click here to read about our free digitization program.

• If your materials do not qualify or you do not wish to participate in the online video library, TAMI offers digitization services for a fee. Click here for more information and rates.

In all cases, TAMI professionals will carefully inspect, clean and prepare your materials prior to transfer. We will not transfer film or video that is in too poor condition for us to run through our machinery without risking further damage. (In such cases we can provide referrals to labs that specialize in conservation and restoration processes.) Once completed, we will return the original items to you with recommendations on how to properly store them.

Film: 16mm, 8mm, Super 8
Video: VHS, BetaSP, ¾”, 8mm
