What makes a beautiful city? That is partly what this KTBC-TV film production seeks to answer. Produced by Cactus Pryor and Gordon Wilkison, “Austin: The View from Here” talks with several experts in architecture, urban planning, and scenic development to study what the city of Austin looks like and why. Participants discuss the origins of Austin as a capital city, potential efforts for beautification and renewal, the importance of green space, and the necessity of thoughtful city planning to preserve its heritage as well as provide for future beauty.
